About the Owner
Chris Garliss is the founder and owner of Highpoint Remodeling, LLC, which he started in 1993. Chris started working in the home remodeling industry at age 9 as a painter for his brother’s company. He started his own business just 10 years later, quickly gaining a reputation as a gifted craftsman with an eye for detail and design. Chris is also a licensed Maryland Home Inspector.
Chris loves meeting with homeowners and helping them turn their remodeling dreams into reality. He is the first person clients talk to when they are thinking about a project and the last person they wave goodbye to when the job is complete.
Chris has lived in Baltimore County his entire life and currently resides in Monkton, Maryland with his wife of 24 years and their 3 children. A lifelong history buff, Chris enjoys participating in living history events and has become a dedicated student of classical and traditional architecture. Chris always finds time for vacationing with his family, often including a little history lesson in their adventures. He is also an active member of his community and has coached rec league lacrosse for nearly 10 years.
Giving Back to Our Community
Here at High Point Remodeling, INC, we value our community and the opportunity to support it. We regularly donate materials to Second Chance, Inc, a Baltimore-based non-profit that creates “green collar jobs” by taking apart houses and buildings that would otherwise be demolished and dumped in a landfill. They then offer the reclaimed materials to the public at a discount, helping fund their job training and workforce development programs. These materials are often then used in projects through other organizations, like Habitat for Humanity. We look forward to future opportunities to give back!
